Tim Dorton will serve as the Leadership Architect and Director of The Center for Leadership Development and Advisory Services. In this role, Dorton will oversee the Center for Leadership and Development’s sales initiatives and foster strategic partnerships with Fortune 500 clients for the promotion of the Leadership & Development Advisory Services.
Prior to this, Dorton held positions as a Regional Director at the Disney Institute, Client Partner & Facilitator at FranklinCovey, Healthcare Advisor at New Horizons Corporate and IBM Multi-Media Technical Advisor at the IBM Institute. Dorton has served in an adult learning capacity in his entire twenty career From 1990 to 1995, Dorton was the owner of two franchises, President and CEO of ComputerLand of Cincinnati, where he oversaw a team of 50 IT specialists, account managers and executive leaders. During his eight years at FranklinCovey while focusing on community and family-based initiatives, Dorton worked alongside Dr. Stephen R. Covey, author of the New York Times Bestseller, “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”.
Among other accomplishments, Dorton was named IBM’s Advanced Technical and Multi-Media dealer in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. In 2021, Dorton was nominated by Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear for the highest honor awarded by the Commonwealth of Kentucky to ambassadors of goodwill and fellowship. Dorton received a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Sciences in Communication from the University of Cincinnati in 1979 and completed IBM Business Management Training in 1995.
