New Horizons Account Manager, Dayna Williams-Hunter, recently helped ISACA and She Leads Tech organize a mixer to provide awareness and support for women in technology. On April 3, 2019, about 125 people attended the mixer to hear from panelists from Ernst and Young and the City of Santa Monica.
ISACA, which seeks to promote globally accepted practices for information systems, hosted the event. New Horizons helped sponsor with discounts on ISACA training such as: CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), and CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control).
ISACA’s She Leads Tech program aims to increase the presence of women in the tech workforce and leadership. The speakers focused on the troubling lack of women in technology and offered support for women considering careers in tech. Breakout sessions gave the perfect opportunity to discuss different career paths and the best options for getting started.
“What an amazing last night…” said Dayna. “We are thrilled to be part of the movement helpful in bringing women into the tech space.”
