Nick Lane-1In his own words, his teaching style can be summed up as:

“I start with easy-to-understand summaries, elaborating afterward to cater to both beginner and advanced learners. Humor always lightens the mood, so I always find a way to interject a joke or two. I teach it “like it is.”

Nick graduated from Nassau Tech BOCES Vocational Institute, where he received his Computer Repair, Electronics and Network Degree. Nick is a Microsoft Certified Trainer, who has over 18 years of experience building networks and computer systems. He brings real world experience to his students from his years working in different parts of the world for various industries such as CME Group and Cablevision.

Currently, Nick teaches Microsoft Technical courses, EC-Council, and CompTIA classes. During his classes, he recognizes that not all students learn the same way and adjusts his teaching style to match the students’ needs, making him quite flexible in the classroom. His favorite part of teaching is when the students light up when they learn something new. “It’s as if a wall has been broken down and they can now venture into new territories. It’s really amazing.”

When Nick is not in the classroom, he is involved in coaching pee-wee sports teams for the community, spending time with his wife and children, reading, writing, video games, and drinking lots of coffee.

Nick has several specialties and is certified in the following:
