NEW CHANGES, NEW TRAINING

What's the deal with vSphere 6.0?

What's the deal with vSphere 6.0?

VMware has yet again come out with a new platform, meaning that you may find yourself upgrading pretty soon. If you work within a virtualized environment, you have probably gotten used to vendor changes, system changes, and cost changes.  All of these changes seem to happen every year, and yet if you don’t follow the industry trend, you may be left behind.

VMware vSphere 6.0 empowers users to virtualize any appliance, redefines availability, and simplifies your virtual data center.  With 6.0, VMware promises a highly available, resilient, on-demand infrastructure that is the ideal foundation for any cloud environment.  Does all this mean that this new platform is right for you?  If you don’t upgrade to 6.0 will you be left behind and allow your competitors an advantage? Here is a whitepaper from VMware which indicates all the bells and whistles of 6.0 so you can decide for yourself.

If you feel upgrading is the way to go, congratulations; VMware is hoping so.  This upgrade is the first new platform introduced by VMware in three years. The "foundation for the hybrid cloud", as VMware states, will help them maintain their dominant hold on large datacenter installations dealing with cloud technologies. VMware has primarily held a strong position in sever virtualization, but has recently lost some grounds to competitors such as Microsoft's Hyper-V due to their Cloud OS model.  With VMware vSphere 6.0, VMware is once again pushing forward, showing that they are still the provider to beat.

With this upgrade, there is going to be ongoing education and training that may be needed in order to fully utilize your investment.  Why spend the money necessary to upgrade if you cannot get everything out of this new platform?  New Horizons Computer Learning Centers of Southern California can help you with this ongoing education so you can get a return on your investment much faster.  With a quick ROI, you can spend more time helping your organization grow and less time worrying about the daily hassles of ongoing upgrades.
